Puppy/Young Dog Socialisation and Obedience Training Course

Beginner?

Why not give your dog an opportunity to learn a number of basic control exercises and agility? 

 

This course incorporates motivational and reward based training under the instruction of an experienced dog trainer and qualified canine behaviourist. 

 

 

 

What is the aim of this course?

To familarise owners and dogs with social skills and behaviours, whilst learning control exercises and agility.

 

Key learning areas of these classes include:
 

  • Socialisation - with people and other dogs.
     

  • Habituation - to the environment.
     

  • Obedience training - for control.
     

  • Bite inhibition.
     

  • Owner education - on how to get the most out of their pet. 

Location

 

 

  • Eight one hour lessons – limited to eight dogs.
     

  • Training tailored to suit a range of ages and breeds.
     

  • All basic obedience exercises trained with distractions in a controlled environment (sit, down, stay, recall & heelwork).
     

  • Introduction to agility equipment such as small hurdles, weave, see-saw, tunnel and catwalk.
     

  • Outdoor training in a natural environment.

Who are these classes suitable for?

 

  • Puppies that have undergone their inoculations.

  • All other young dogs.
